The film grossed an estimated of Rs 3.75 million on the Friday of its release, an abrupt decline and well below the original box office expectations.
It was released on a Sunday, which coincided with Eid celebration, Sikandar debuted with a promise of Rs 26 crore. The global gross collection reached its peak at Eid itself, with a total of the figure of Rs 29 crore. However, the momentum started to diminish. The film made around Rs 19.5 million on the Tuesday. Then, it fell to 9.75 million on Wednesday. Then, it decreased further to the sum of Rs 6 crore on Thursday.
In the final days of the first week the Sikandar earnings was estimated at around Rs 90.25 crore, as per the trade tracking website Sacnilk. In addition to the figures from Friday, Sikandar has now reached the estimated figure of Rs 94 crore on the Indian box office.
Industry experts are monitoring the film's performance over the weekend to determine if it will reach the 100-crore mark. Despite the decline the film's production company remains positive. According to an update to the official X (formerly Twitter) handle Sikandar was reported to have crossed the threshold of the mark of Rs 100 crore on Eid day, and claimed an international gross of 105.89 crore. Their most recent update estimates the Sikandar domestic box office for five days at 169.78 crore. Salman Khan new movie creators thanked fans for their love and support: "You've filled cinemas and our hearts.
However, with domestic sales slowing down, Sikandar is at risk of becoming one of Salman Khan's weakest films in recent years. Sikandar's track record at the box office is in stark contrast to that of the Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava that has a potential of reaching the sum of Rs 600 crore following its 50-day run.
